Terms of service.

The service
Scenyn makes documentary videos from a topic or a script: research, narration, a shot plan, pictures for every line, and a rendered film. “We” and “us” mean the people who run it; “you” means you.
Accounts
- The site has one owner, who runs it, and members. Sign-ups may be open or closed at any time.
- Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You’re responsible for what happens under it.
- An account is for one person. Don’t share it or sell it.
- You must be 18 or older to make an account.
What you may not make
Scenyn checks topics before it works on them, and you agree not to use it for:
- sexual or explicit content, and anything sexual involving minors;
- instructions for weapons, explosives, drugs, hacking or self-harm;
- extremist propaganda or recruitment;
- hate, harassment, or false and damaging claims about private people;
- deliberate misinformation, scams, or fakes meant to pass as real events or real people;
- anything that breaks the law or someone else’s rights, including copyright and privacy.
Serious history and true crime, told factually, are welcome. Don’t try to get around the checks, break into the service, or overload it. The full rules, including those on real people and AI pictures, are in the acceptable use policy, which is part of these terms.
Your content
You keep the rights you have in your topics, scripts and uploads. You let us store and process them, and send them to the services that make your video (listed in the privacy policy), only to provide Scenyn to you. You confirm you have the right to use anything you upload.
Pictures, footage and music from others
- Scenyn looks for pictures in collections whose work may be reused (public domain, Creative Commons, and stock libraries), and keeps each picture’s source, author, licence and link in your video’s licence report.
- Those licences have conditions. Some ask you to name the author or share alike. Following them when you publish is up to you; the licence report and the credits block for your description are there to make it easy.
- We work to get licence details right but can’t promise every source labelled its work correctly. Check anything important before you rely on it.
- If you add a clip from YouTube or another site, you’re responsible for having the right to use it.
- If you think something on Scenyn uses your work without the right to, see copyright & takedowns.
Generated content
Research, narration, pictures and animation are produced automatically and can be wrong: a date, a name, a place, a picture that doesn’t show what it seems to. Check your video before you publish it. AI pictures and animation are illustrations, not records of real events.
Plans, payments and credits
- Paid plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. The price, and any taxes such as GST, are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card details.
- A plan adds its credits to your balance every month, yearly plans too. Inside the app, every video and paid step shows its price in credits first, and nothing is spent until you confirm it.
- Payments aren’t refunded except for billing mistakes and where the law requires it. How cancelling, refunds, credits and delivery work is set out in the refund & cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.
Availability
We may change, pause or stop features, and the service may be unavailable at times. Keep your own copies of finished videos.
Ending
You can stop using Scenyn whenever you like, and ask us to close your account. We may switch off an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk; where it’s fair to, we’ll tell you why first.
Our responsibility
Scenyn is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for how you use what you make. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
Grievances
For a complaint about the service, about content made with it, or about how we handle your data, write to our Grievance Officer at [email protected] with the subject “Grievance”. The Grievance Officer is Scenyn’s owner. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, as India’s Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 ask.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute can’t be settled by writing to us first, the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you use Scenyn as a consumer, nothing here takes away the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters, we’ll tell account holders first. Using Scenyn after that means you accept the new terms.
