Refunds & cancellation.

How plans renew and cancel, when money comes back, how credits work, and how the service reaches you.

Last updated 26 October 2026

In short

  • Plans are monthly or yearly and renew until you cancel. Cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the month or year you’ve paid for.
  • Payments aren’t refunded, except for billing mistakes and where the law requires it.
  • A video’s price includes any step that has to try again. Credits a fix you asked for didn’t use come back to you automatically.
  • Credits don’t expire while your account is open.

Plans and renewal

A paid plan is a monthly or yearly subscription. Its credits are added to your balance every month, yearly plans too (the first month’s when you pay). It renews automatically on the same day each month or year, at the price you agreed to, until you cancel. The price, and any taxes such as GST, are shown before you pay.

Your bank or card may ask you to approve the recurring payment once (an e-mandate) and may send you a notice before each renewal; that’s part of how recurring payments work in India and doesn’t change these terms. If we ever change a plan’s price, we’ll tell you by email at least 7 days before the new price applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it does.

Cancelling

Cancel from Billing in the app (“Manage subscription”), or write to [email protected] from your account’s email address. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep the plan until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for (a yearly plan’s credits keep arriving each month until then), and you aren’t charged again. We don’t refund the rest of a month or year you’ve started.

Refunds

Payments for plans aren’t refundable, including for credits you haven’t used, except:

  • Billing mistakes. If you were charged twice, charged after you cancelled, or charged the wrong amount, write to us within 30 days of the charge and we’ll refund the mistake in full.
  • Where the law requires it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Once we’ve sent one, your bank usually takes 5 to 10 working days to show it.

Credits

  • Every video and paid step shows its price in credits before it starts, and nothing is spent until you confirm. That many credits are held while it runs; what it doesn’t use, and anything held for a step that fails, comes back to your balance when it ends.
  • Work you choose to redo (a new voice, a new picture, a fresh render) costs credits again, and what the first try spent isn’t returned.
  • Credits don’t expire while your account is open, and you can keep using them after you cancel a plan.
  • Credits have no cash value. They can’t be exchanged for money, transferred to another account, or sold.
  • Free credits given at sign-up or as a gift are for trying Scenyn and are never refunded.
  • If we close an account for breaking the terms or the acceptable use policy, its unused credits are lost.

Delivery

Scenyn is an online service; nothing is shipped. Your plan and its credits start as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute. Your videos are delivered in the app: you watch them there and download the MP4, captions and licence report. If your credits haven’t arrived within an hour of paying, write to [email protected] and we’ll sort it out.

Disputes

If something about a charge looks wrong, please write to [email protected] before you raise a dispute with your bank. We reply within 2 working days, and it’s usually the quickest way to fix it. You can also reach our Grievance Officer, as described in the terms.
