This policy is part of the terms of service. It covers everything you make with Scenyn: topics, scripts, uploads, and the videos and pictures that come out. Serious history, science, true crime and news, told factually, are exactly what Scenyn is for.
Not allowed
- Sexual or sexually explicit content, and anything that sexualises minors.
- Instructions or encouragement for weapons, explosives, drugs, hacking, or self-harm and suicide.
- Terrorist or violent-extremist propaganda, recruitment or praise.
- Hate, harassment, threats or bullying aimed at people for who they are.
- False and damaging claims about real people, and anything that invades someone’s privacy (their home address, health, private life) without a clear public interest.
- Deliberate misinformation: invented events presented as real, fake quotes, or false claims about elections, health or public safety.
- Scams, fraud, and videos made to mislead people into paying or handing over information.
- Anything that breaks the law in India or where you publish, or someone else’s rights, including copyright, trademarks and privacy.
Real people and AI pictures
- Don’t use Scenyn to make it look as if a real person said or did something they didn’t. AI pictures and animation are illustrations; they must not be passed off as real photographs or footage of real people or events.
- Don’t put a real person’s name on a picture that isn’t of them. Scenyn only puts name plates over real photos or footage of the person for this reason.
- When you publish, follow the platform’s rules on AI content. YouTube, for example, asks creators to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content. Scenyn’s licence report lists which shots were made by AI, to make that easy.
Other people’s work
- Only upload pictures, clips, music and scripts you have the right to use.
- Keep the credits that a picture’s licence asks for when you publish. The licence report and the credits block for your description list them.
- To report a video or picture that uses your work, see copyright & takedowns.
Using the service fairly
- One account per person. Don’t share, sell or rent your account, or make extra accounts to collect free credits.
- Don’t try to get around the topic checks, the credit system or the daily limits, or use bugs to get credits you didn’t pay for.
- Don’t break into, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or copy the service, or use it to build a competing one.
- Don’t use Scenyn to mass-produce spam or misleading channels, or to fake engagement on other platforms.
How we check
Every topic and script is checked automatically before anything is spent, and Scenyn refuses ones that clearly break this policy. That check can’t catch everything, so you remain responsible for what you make and publish. We may look at a video when it’s reported to us or when something seems wrong.
What happens if it’s broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may refuse a topic, stop a video, remove content, suspend or close the account, and, where the law requires it, report it to the authorities. Unused credits on an account closed for breaking this policy are lost (see the refund policy). Where it’s fair to, we’ll tell you why first.
Reporting
To report something made with Scenyn, write to [email protected] with a link to the video or picture and what’s wrong with it, or reach our Grievance Officer as described in the terms. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
